One ball joint, three bases
The charging head is shared. The base decides the market.
Every mount in this line uses the same 17mm ball joint, so head and base are separate part numbers. You stock one head and three bases instead of five complete SKUs.
Vent clip
CM-15-A, CM-25-A, CM-15-D. Spring steel clip with a rubber saddle. Fits 3–9mm vent blades, which covers most Japanese and Korean interiors.
Adhesive dash
CM-15-B. 3M VHB pad on a weighted base. The only option for European interiors where vents are too shallow for a clip.
Suction + arm
CM-15-C. 95mm suction cup and a 140mm telescopic arm. The truck and van segment, where the windshield is the only flat surface.
Why it matters: the failure mode in car mounts is never the electronics, it is the joint. We use a metal ball and a metal socket rather than the plastic pair most factories ship, because a plastic joint loses holding force after about 200 thermal cycles.

All models are tested to 85°C cabin temperature and 500 hours of vibration. The 25W model includes a TEC plate for summer markets.

Do these survive a hot dashboard?
Tested to 85°C ambient for 48 hours, above the 70°C most dashboards reach in direct summer sun. The 25W model adds a TEC plate because at that temperature a passive 25W coil throttles to 10W within minutes.
Will the vent clip fit my customer's car?
It fits blades 3–9mm thick and up to 30mm deep, which covers most Toyota, Honda, Hyundai and Kia interiors. For European cars with shallow vents, specify CM-15-B — the adhesive base exists for exactly that reason.
Is the magnet strong enough for a phone in a case?
The ring holds 1.2kg vertically. A 200g phone in a 2mm case needs about 0.6kg to stay put over a pothole, so there is margin. Beyond 3mm of case, use the spacer ring.
Can the arm be shortened?
The telescopic arm runs 95–140mm. Below 95mm needs a new mould, which is a 25-day tool and separate NRE. From 2,000 pcs it is usually worth it.
