OEM wireless chargers: the process, the timeline and what drives the cost

From first message to sealed carton in about five to six weeks. Here is each step, and the choices that change your unit price.

OEM means putting your brand on an existing, already-tooled model. ODM means developing a new product with us. Most brands start with OEM because there is no tooling cost and the first order can ship in about a month.

The three steps

  • Spec and proposal (about 3 working days): send a reference photo, a model number or a market requirement. You get a costed proposal and, for new designs, a 3D render and a tooling schedule.
  • Samples and certification (7–10 days): functional samples with your logo, colour and packaging. Qi, FCC and CE reports can be issued against the approved sample.
  • Mass production (25–30 days): from 500 pcs per model and colour, with AQL 2.5 inspection, a carton drop test and a photo report before shipment.

How to keep cost under control

  • Choose a model offered in Q, P and S builds: you can sell 25W and 15W versions without paying for a second mould.
  • Keep colours to what you will actually reorder; the MOQ applies per colour.
  • Lock packaging artwork before samples, not after.

Private-mould ODM projects start at 3,000 pcs. A new housing takes 15–20 days to tool.

What to send in your first message

  • A model number or a reference photo.
  • Quantity per colour.
  • Target market, which decides the plug type and certificates.
  • Your logo file (AI or SVG) and a packaging idea.
  • Your target retail price.
